Starting from Bottom 27,29,34,38

Hi All here I am at 38 weeks. I am doing very well. No stretch marks, no pains nothing.

I am very lucky that I have 4 great midwives because none of them are interested in inducing me untill I hit 42 weeks, unless the baby is under stress or I am having difficulty too. They don't see any problems for this pregnancy at all, I don't see any either. Matty and I are hoping we go the weekend of August 5th. We still like our time together and are enjoying everything along the way.

Matty is finishing up the baby's room. He has done a fabulous job. It kills me not being able to contribute but I think he enjoys the fact that he did this room all on his own. From floor to ceilling and adding in a closet for all her little clothes. Her room is all put together witht the exception of a few things that need to be hung on the walls. Her clothes are all washed and put away and all the furniture is in too. The cats were not to happy with all the construction to this room but they are quiet comfortable with it now. No worry about the cats we have a plan .. from how we are going to introduce them to the baby, to sleeping arrangements. Granted Mikaela will not be in her crib right away but we have a crib tent coming. It's a special netting/tent for the crib to keep animals out. This way the cats still can be in the room from time to time and Matty and I don't have to worry about them crawling in for cat naps with the baby. It causes less stress for everyone. So don't worry, our kittens are our babies too and we have everything worked out and are very aware of how pets can be with a new baby.

Anyhoo. I have posted belly picks for you to see the growth in a matter of a few weeks and once I get a chance this week her finished room pics will be posted as well.

Here's a few pictures of the baby's room under construction
This is just after Matty finished the ceiling. The ceiling was orignally 6'10" and now vaulted. This is going to be the coolest little girls room. I will post pictures of the floor refinished and the walls painted later on.

35 weeks

Ok so here I am at 35 weeks. I still feel very good. I am exactly 150lbs. I started at 123lbs so not bad at all. I can work that off when the time comes. I wish I could start now or even right after she is born, I feel so lazy. However, I do know that I can't and that it isn't good to start loosing weight to fast when nursing. My appetite has increased again and I can't seem to keep up. I was 152 at 33 weeks and now 150 but I am still a good weight they say. Anyhoo, The midwives say she is in the vertex postion and just waiting to drop. In the meantime I have organized some of the baby stuff so it is ready to go in her room. Her room is almost done. Grandpa is coming Sunday to sand the hardwood floors and Matty is finishing the painting and the trim and the other little odds and ends needed to complete the room. I have her rug and the rest of her bedding on it's way. All we have left is the mattress and the changing pad and a few odds and ends to pick up for her arrival. I also need to focus on getting my bag set. Well that's about it for now. I will be in touch more often since I am home for the summer.TTYL

Hi all. I am feeling great and cannot complain about anything. I had a week of sciatic pain a little ways back but that went away with the help of yoga my massage therapist and the chiropractor. I've had to cut back on the gym and just stick to yoga and pilates at home but that's ok I don't want to risk spraining my ankle during this pregnancy again. I have my family shower this weekend and I am very excited to see everyone and show off the budda. I hope all goes well. I also have my brother-in-law's graduation from law school and I am very excited for him. This weekend is going to be very busy. Take care and I will check in again in a few weeks.

The baby stole half my brian!!!

I accidently backed into Matt's car one morning. Pregnacy stupids I tell ya!! I totally forgot he was home. I was leaving for class one Saturday and back out like I always do every morning. However, I forgot that it was Sat and back right in to his car. All fixed now. ;)

Matty and I at 27 weeks

Here is Mikaela's newset Picture. We had to have our ultra sound re done because she didn't cooperate very well the last time. They need to get better measurements of her spine. This time around Mikaela must have known that's what they needed because that's the first thing that showed up on the screen. She had her back to us. She is doing well and dancing away in my tummy. Maybe she'll be a tap dancer just like her mommy. Whatever she wants to do will be wonderful.

It's a girl

We had our big ultra sound and we found out what we are having, A girl. Her name will be
Mikaela Annette Menard
. We are so excited. We really didn't have a preference but we just wanted a healthy baby, mentally and phsyically. Now we can proceed with plans for the baby's room. Here are a few pics for your enjoyment. Would you have ever imagine to see this? It's her face or it's her first halloween costume. Ha! Ha! Her little hand is up by her face.

ok so now I am 16 week pregnant and laid up for a while because I sprained/fractured my foot again. I just finished P/T last Jan for the same foot. I have to start all over again. I am so upset about this. I never wanted this to happen again especially while I am pregnant. Will I get a break? I guess when it rains, it pours. Grad school, My father past away and now this on top of being pregnant. Nothing else bad better happen.

Just popping in to let ya all know that we are all doing well. The M/S stop at 9 weeks. I was only sick for about 4 weeks which I am very glad it was short lived, but rough. My energy has seem to come back. I have enough to go to the gym twice a week. I am hoping to continue my aerobics class through the whole pregnancy or until I cannot walk very well. So far I feel great. I am definitley getting bigger about every two weeks. I don't feel big yet but I do feel like I have had a large lunch that never goes away. I have already gained about 9 pounds which is expected by now. I was 123 and now 132.

Matt and I are anxiuosly awaiting to find out what the baby is. We are having difficulty choosing a name if it is a boy but we do have a girls name all set. Matt has has this name picked out for sometime now and we are sticking to it. Mikaela Annette for a girl. Once we decided on a boy's name I will be sure to post it, the middle name might be Lawrence after my Pepere'. We are trying to keep the Middle name from the family at least.

Sorry I haven't posted in a while things have been crazy here. My dad got sick and past away just after Christmas and then I got backed up in homework for grad school. I will try to keep the site updated for you all.
