Waiting for Molly...Still
here I am the day before my due date December 9th in the green and 2 days late in the purple shirt. However I was thinking she wasn't late at all; she came when she was suppose to. If I did my calculations right, she came right on time for her. I think she would have been lot bigger if she was late. Mother nature let me go into labor naturally so that just tells me I was not late and she was ready for the world.I weighed 151lbs 2 lbs shy from my final pregnancy weight with Mikaela. Not bad even though my starting weight was 109lb this time and 128 last time. I gained what I needed for Miss Molly.

Miss Molly's room is done!!!!!

Here you all go!!! Miss Molly's room is done. Thanks Dad/Pepere' for coming out once again to help put the beautiful hardwood floor in. He also helped refinish Mikay's floor when we were waiting for her arrival. Thanks Matty the Daddy for finishing off such a cute little girls room once again. Great Job on the ceiling, floor and trim work.
Mikaela helped Mommy take care of baby laundry and put it all away. Well throw it on the floor so I would have to get up for it. You can see that in one of the pics. Mikaela also helped me paint the room. She was very proud of herself to help paint. I am also very lucky to have such a wonderful client of mine make Molly's curtains. I couldn't decided on what bedding to get for Molly. I ended up finiding a sheet set that had a pattern I loved. I used it for her curtains and crib skirt.
I could have used MiKay's crib bedding set but she is going to be a different little person and I couldn't do that to her. She needed her own personality in her room especially since she was getting the same same crib and furniture We used for MiKay. Plus I was given a ton of hand me down's for a winter baby, not many new things for her. Thanks to everyone who passed on all the girl clothes, especially Erinn ( her daugther was born in Dec and her Niece in Aug) Plenty of clothes to fill in the gaps for both girls.
By the way MiKay is naked pretending o be baby. She has been doing this alot since the room has been done and only saying "Dada Mama and Goo goo Gaa gaa."
{ if you haven't seen MiKay's room makeover besure to check our family blog.}

Nursery Construction

The first pic with the chair; the door is to your right. the rest of the pics are from the door. The room is very small so angle shots are difficult. The Trim is new so it is staying white. That was a nesting project we did when I was pregnant with MiKay. The ceiling is ripped out and so far that is it until we make another trip to Home Depot. The room was staying orange if the baby was going to be a boy but now it will be plum, once the room gets primed after the ceiling is finished. The rug is coming out ;so cross your fingers the floor just needs to be re-sanded and finished like out bedroom and MiKay's room. I am hoping that this weekend Matty will complete the electrical, drywall and start mudding and taping. Then once that is started priming can begin.I have a client custom sewing curtains for the room. I have to finish the roman shades (no blinds) for both girls rooms too. Happy Jeff Nursery pics ;) if you want to call it a nursery.

Belly update

Sorry it has been a while, I am missing my 23 weeks photos but here is what I have thus far. Purple shirt pics are me at 27 weeks, the black tank is me at 17weeks
I am measuring right on track for 28weeks. I have gained about 30 lbs. I started at 109lbs so not bad especially since I was so under weight to begin with. My midwives said I would gain more but they also said I would weight about the same as i did with Mikaela's pregnancy which was 150 and I only gained 25lbs with her. I still feel good with the exception Miss Molly is kicking me like crazy. She is very low, very very low. I can always feel her head diggin in my left hip. A few weeks ago she was upright and her feet would constantly kick my lower pelvis and her Head would push on my lungs. I have the strong urge to organize the house. I am just waiting for Matty to begin construction on his old office. In the mean time I am working on making over Mikaela's room to a big girl room. For update on her room check out http://www.mindymenard.blogspot.com/
I have gotten most of the big stuff for Molly. We got an infant car seat, double stroller and furniture ( Mikaela is getting the new furniture ad Molly will get Mikaela's current furniture) thanks to hunting craiglslist. Good deals. Who would have thought even having a baby already you would need more stuff. I have plenty of little stuff I still need for Molly. I have the urge to set up her room, wash clothes etc, but I have no place for it all.
Well that is about it for the baby bug update. I will post baby room progress soon. I hope Matty cracks that puppy this weekend so I can get it painting and furniture moved in. Check back often.

IT's A Girl!!!!!!
It's a GIRL!!!!!!!!!
We are happy to announce that we are having another little girl. Today was our big ultra sound and 18 wk appointment ( I am 19wks actually) The tech took me in first because she knows how MiKay is with people touching her Mommy. They did all the normal measurements and everything has developed very well. It was more amazing this time around because they had new equipment and the clarity of the ultrasound was outstanding. I could tell right off the bat what was what. Right down to the kidneys and the heart chambers, it was so clear. The baby was moving so much and I could feel her too. She was not behaving at first, she all over the place. The tech asked if we wanted to know and if I wanted to wait for Matt and MiKay. I said lets see if I can see it on my own then tell me if I am right when they come in. As we are in this little room in the dark, you can hear Mikaela " Mommy are you??, Mommy, Mommy. [crying]" Then we hear i have a sticker for you, the crying stopped and Mikaela was saying "sticker, I have a a sticker!". So cute. As the tech was taking her measurements I was closely paying attention to the legs. Long legs this one has. We could see between the legs but a little foot was tuck up in between blocking out full view. She rolled around to a few different angles and I thought to myself,"oh please let there be a stem". I wanted a boy because I loved our boys name, I had a theme for his room, and I mostly wanted to see the combination of Matty and I in a little boy. However, I didn't see anything. I had a strong feeling that this meant girl. I didn't see anything, bumps lumps or lines of any sort when I was in there for Mikaela and this time the same thing. She stopped and brought them in. Mikaela was upset that I was on a table with someone touching me. She calmed down and we started the ultrasound again.
Immediately " A baby! a baby girl! My baby! Look! look! " It was so cute to hear her saying this. The tech was still marking measurements of the skull kidneys and legs. The baby was all over so it took a long time, good thing we were there a half hour early. For weeks now MiKay has answered with a strong 'A sister." It use to be what ever word we said last boy, girl, brother, sister. Now it was always the same response. I have been told siblings know what Mommy is having. I guess she did know, a girl. She took a good pass over the legs and from underneath too and there was nothing no lumps or bumps that showed any sign of a boy. The tech said she was right and MiKay says" I was right!" I don't think Mikay really knew what was going on but it was cute for her to answer that was when she was actually right.
I wanted a boy but I wanted to give Mikaela a sister because I never had that relationship so close in age. I wanted a boy to keep Mikay as my one and only girl, my best girlfriend when she was older but I long for her to have that sister bond I never had. She always said sister as if she knew and so strongly.I am happy she got her wish. I just hope I can give them the attention they need for being girls. I am over the bittersweet moment of wanting a boy but happy for a girl. I am excited and looking forward to watching the bond form between them through the years. I especially look forward to picking out the cutest outfits to match from head to toe or dress similar outfits in different colors. UGH! 2 of everything is going to get us when they get older, but that's ok. Unless this is more girly and doesn't like bugs and dirt and dressing up like MiKay. She's my girl that likes to get dirty in her dress. LOL
Her name will be....
Molly Ann Menard . Another 'M' She will have matching initials like MiKay and I also sharing a middle name. Mikaela's is Annette; for my middle name and Matt's grandmother. I am Mindy Anne, She was Annette. The Anne is in there. So for this baby girl we decided on Ann but without the 'e' .
I will have ultrasounds scanned, eventually. Now lets just hope that it really is a girl and we are not surprised with a boy on delivery day.

just a few at 18weeks
I didn't think I was in the shot LOL.So I don't look so hot. So the bump now looks like a baby bump. I still get the look like are you just fat or pregnant. I really want to smack those people who think I don't look pregnant because there' s no way I would have a gut like that; or at least I am going to try and keep it that way after this baby.

Wives tales Boy or Girl??
So MiKay and I were goofing off on this hot weekend and decided to try the ole wives tale to see what I was having. We did the needle over the hand and the wedding ring over the belly. The wedding ring over the belly swung strong. MiKay kept saying "no touch and Wee!!" each time it swung . So that tells us it's a boy. It spun round and round when I was prego with MiKay. I then did the needle. It said girl..... boy.... girl.... stop. Before I was pregnant it use to say Girl... girl....boy ..stop.
So in 4 weeks we'll see boy or girl. I still want to keep it a surprise until the very end. I want the excitement of Matty telling me boy or girl when the baby arrives. Oh well, we'll get to do the baby's room up in boy or girl style in stead of neutral baby.
Getting bigger everyday. Mikaela is very protective of me and won't let me show off the ultra sound pics. She yells "No my baby!" and tries to take the pictures. SO cute.
alright off to bed for me
Enjoy the heat!!

13wks and still growing
well looks like the heart beat is holding stron at 153hbpm. It was about that last week too. I got the luxury of skipping an appointment. My Midwife said since I've had a no nonsense pregnancy I can go longer between visits. Sso insetad of every three weeks I get to come back in 5. Plus that will be our big ultrasound. The day we find out what we are having. I really want to experience one of Mother natures little surprises in life but Matty NEEDS to know. I am beginning to think this is a good idea now. I think in the case of already having a child it will be easier for Mikaela to connect a little better. Right now I think she doesn't understand but for some odd reason I think she actually does. I am a firm believer that children understand more than we think they can understand. She heard the hearbeat today and she actually responded by saying "that's the baby!" She likes to life my shirt up and say hi baby and wack my tummy, she also runs to Daddy to do that same to him. LOL....
I think once we can tell her she is going to have a brother or sister and give her a name she can connect a little more. I think having a name will be easier for her to understand than telling her brother or sister.
Well ladies and gents start casting your votes.... Boy or girl????
I am feeling girl but I will be shocked if I see boy. I just feel I am suppose to have girls, so does Matt. maybe we'll be wrong. I like our boys name bette than our girls name and i like my theme I picked out for a boy better because it is so cute.

BABY #2

Ok all I am adding to the baby blog. I thought this blog would be dormant for a lot longer but I guess not. I am going to keep all baby #2 pics on this blog and keep my other blog for familiy activities. Once Baby bug #2 is born I will resume to just using The Menards not cubed lol. So please check back periodically to both pages.
Ok so here are a few belly shots. I have yet to scan ultra sound pictures so be patient. I have posted 5 weeks and 13 weeks. I know at 5 wks it looks like I have nothing but seriously I was not able to button my pants let alone have any kind of pressure on my belly. I lost so much weight from Mikaela postpartum that I acctually had a gut by 5wks. hard to believe because I was so skinny already. I really felt bloated and gross. Anyhoo.
My due date is December 10th 2008 so they say.... I measured 12 wks 4 days last Thursday when I technically was only 12 wks 1 day. So the further away they think my due date is the better because if I am actually due a week sooner the less likely to be induced. Being induced isn't likely in my case but you never know. Lets just pray I go spontaneuosly again, no drugs, no nothing. Let mother nature play her role the way god intended.
At 10 wks the heart beat was found to our surprise because they said it was too soon to hear it. 164 hbpm . Now at 12wks it was I think 153 hbpm. So right now the heart is beating like it is a girl but that can change as the baby gets bigger.
To start I weighed 112lbs and now I weigh 121lbs. With MiKay I was 126lbs prior to her and in the end 155lbs. They think I will gain the same this time too, about 25 lbs . My midwives think I might gain less weight since I am so little to begin with. They said I am all uterus that baby has alot of room to grow. Lets just hope this is another small baby too.
well check in to see new pics.
As for what we want to have Matty and I don't care either way. Yes we are finding out. I really would like one of natures surprises but matty needs to know and being a control thing I cannot not know if he does for the next months. So it was agreed to find out.

Hi All here I am at 38 weeks. I am doing very well. No stretch marks, no pains nothing.
I am very lucky that I have 4 great midwives because none of them are interested in inducing me untill I hit 42 weeks, unless the baby is under stress or I am having difficulty too. They don't see any problems for this pregnancy at all, I don't see any either. Matty and I are hoping we go the weekend of August 5th. We still like our time together and are enjoying everything along the way.
Matty is finishing up the baby's room. He has done a fabulous job. It kills me not being able to contribute but I think he enjoys the fact that he did this room all on his own. From floor to ceilling and adding in a closet for all her little clothes. Her room is all put together witht the exception of a few things that need to be hung on the walls. Her clothes are all washed and put away and all the furniture is in too. The cats were not to happy with all the construction to this room but they are quiet comfortable with it now. No worry about the cats we have a plan .. from how we are going to introduce them to the baby, to sleeping arrangements. Granted Mikaela will not be in her crib right away but we have a crib tent coming. It's a special netting/tent for the crib to keep animals out. This way the cats still can be in the room from time to time and Matty and I don't have to worry about them crawling in for cat naps with the baby. It causes less stress for everyone. So don't worry, our kittens are our babies too and we have everything worked out and are very aware of how pets can be with a new baby.
Anyhoo. I have posted belly picks for you to see the growth in a matter of a few weeks and once I get a chance this week her finished room pics will be posted as well.

35 weeks

Ok so here I am at 35 weeks. I still feel very good. I am exactly 150lbs. I started at 123lbs so not bad at all. I can work that off when the time comes. I wish I could start now or even right after she is born, I feel so lazy. However, I do know that I can't and that it isn't good to start loosing weight to fast when nursing. My appetite has increased again and I can't seem to keep up. I was 152 at 33 weeks and now 150 but I am still a good weight they say. Anyhoo, The midwives say she is in the vertex postion and just waiting to drop. In the meantime I have organized some of the baby stuff so it is ready to go in her room. Her room is almost done. Grandpa is coming Sunday to sand the hardwood floors and Matty is finishing the painting and the trim and the other little odds and ends needed to complete the room. I have her rug and the rest of her bedding on it's way. All we have left is the mattress and the changing pad and a few odds and ends to pick up for her arrival. I also need to focus on getting my bag set. Well that's about it for now. I will be in touch more often since I am home for the summer.TTYL

Hi all. I am feeling great and cannot complain about anything. I had a week of sciatic pain a little ways back but that went away with the help of yoga my massage therapist and the chiropractor. I've had to cut back on the gym and just stick to yoga and pilates at home but that's ok I don't want to risk spraining my ankle during this pregnancy again. I have my family shower this weekend and I am very excited to see everyone and show off the budda. I hope all goes well. I also have my brother-in-law's graduation from law school and I am very excited for him. This weekend is going to be very busy. Take care and I will check in again in a few weeks.
The baby stole half my brian!!!
